My Homework Policy:
*I try to minimize homework for students. 20 minutes of reading a night and a few math problems, and word work (spelling). Sometimes, I may assign some reading homework (like a passage with questions).
*If work is not completed in class, it may become homework as well. *Homework is part of a participation/citizenship grade, it is not a part of the subject grades.
*I will not keep students back from recess to do their homework- they need time to run and play.
*Students who complete all homework will be rewarded.
*If everybody in the class completes their homework, we can begin working towards incentives:)
*I believe that a child should only spend 15-20 minutes working on their math homework. If they continue to struggle or need more time, let me know and I will work with him/her or offer the make up time during specials.
*I am willing to tutor students, but have not chosen a day or time yet (I will post when that decision is made). That is not a time to do homework.
